Introducing an Application for Overwhelming Crisis during Covid-19

Abstract

In medical facilities, there are numerous examples of long-term development. The purpose of this article was to explain how information technology and mobile-based applications may benefit our society. During a covid pandemic, this application will provide a platform for tracking patient status.

Introduction

I. INTRODUCTION

This application caters primarily to two user groups: the patient's family and the doctors. Let's take a closer look at how the app works for each group. For doctors, the app offers a secure and convenient platform to manage and update patient information. Doctors will receive their credentials from the hospital's administrator, who is already registered on the app. By logging in with their provided credentials, doctors can access the app's features and functionalities tailored to their needs. They can view and update patient reports, record the patient's current status, and make any necessary updates as the patient's condition evolves.

On the other hand, family members of the patient are required to register using the hospital-provided application. This ensures that only authorized individuals can access the patient's medical information. Once registered, the family members go through an authentication process to confirm their identity and association with the patient. The hospital then grants authorization to the patient's family, allowing them to view the patient's reports and current status through the app. By utilizing this Android application, family members can effortlessly stay informed about the patient's progress, treatment plans, test results, and any other relevant medical information. The app ensures that the information is up-to-date and readily accessible, promoting transparency and communication between the medical staff and the patient's family. Our priority is to maintain the confidentiality and privacy of patient data. The app employs robust security measures to protect sensitive medical information and ensures that only authorized users can access it. With our Android application, we aim to provide a user-friendly interface, reliable data synchronization, and real-time updates for the patient's family members. We understand the importance of peace of mind and hope that this app will help alleviate some of the concerns and uncertainties that can arise during a patient's medical journey.

II. CURRENT METHODOLOGY

Initially, there was no medicine or vaccine available to treat the corona virus anywhere in the world.

As we all know the situation during pandemic was pathetic. people affected from covid were qaurantine but the major affected people were hospitalized. In this scenario, to get in touch with the covid affected patients, family members have to wait for the call from the doctor to get an update or they used to get an extension number of the pateint's respective floor to communicate and get the health update. Thank goodness to the growing generosity of the people nowadays, those who care for the better retired lives of the elderly, have started NGOs under various names where many can lend a hand to the elders, but those are limited to only providing proper food and comforting products like blankets, sweaters, and pillows. And, the elderly manifestly deserves much more than this.

Since, the main aim of the 16th goal is to bring peace and justice to all mankind, this paper wishes to build peace and harmony amongst the youth as well as the elders. This paper focuses to bridge the gap between two different poles of the generations. Also, the aim is to make the technology befriend the elder masses, and make them self-dependent on the gadgets, which is possible only if the tech-versed young generation is willing to assist the move.

III. NEW METHODOLOGY

The new methodology necessitates the strong backing of technology and the gadgets that revolve around it, as well as the doctor and family who are willing to participate in this movement. The goal of the research is to develop an Android application that will help both doctors and patients' families.

The purpose of the application is to provide comprehensive details of the patient's report from the hospital to the family and to provide assurance to the family.

By creating an android application patient's family members can easily get the details of the patient condition which will be updated by the doctor's.

Android app that will mostly have two users.

1. Patient's family
2. Doctor

Doctor’s are given credential by the hospital's admin, who is already registered on the app.

The application's purpose is to furnish comprehensive information about the patient's medical reports to their family members, offering them reassurance and peace of mind.

Through the development of this Android application, family members can effortlessly access up-to-date details regarding the patient's condition, as regularly updated by the doctors.

The Android app is designed to cater primarily to two user groups: the patient's family and the doctor.

The doctors will receive their credentials from the hospital's administrator, who is already registered on the app. Conversely, the patient's family members are required to register using the hospital-provided application.

Following the completion of the authentication process, the hospital will grant authorization to the patient's family, allowing them to view the patient's reports and current status.

A. The Administrator

Admin will give credential to Doctor's and staff. Once the patient is admitted to the hospital, admin will insert the patient's name and ID so that the doctor may simply update. The patient's family will be given a unique ID and password by the administrator.

B. Working of the Application

Work flow for the patient’s family:

1. The member will login to the application by entering username and password.
2. They will be given the patient's ID and will be able to check the patient's most recent status as provided by the doctor.
3. Then they will proceed to the appropriate section, such as WARD, ICU, and so on.
4. If there is no progress report, the member might return after some time and check the status again.

1. The doctors will use the credentials provided to them to log onto the app.
2. The doctor is aware of which patient has been assigned to them and must update the status.

The Administrator will keep track of both the Doctor and the Member's.

In the event of any unusual behaviour on behalf of any circumstance or any users, there will be helpline numbers available.

IV. DISCUSSION

People's attitudes on technology, particularly among young people, are shifting toward both the optimistic and pessimistic sides of the scale. Android applications, particularly social networking platforms, have not only improved people's lives but also put their lives and privacy in risk. This application is going to completely free from hospital. The goal is to collaborate with a few clinics and nursing homes to learn more about it, which will broaden the scope of the concept for everyone.

In terms of implementation, introducing the application to the patient's family and doctor will be beneficial.

Conclusion

As our title Introducing an Application for overwhelming crisis during Covid-19, define various crisis during covid. Among from these we have point out to a specific problem which is elaborated as, corona virus has been dangerous to each and everyone world wide. In this Scenario, people are avoiding to come in contact with each other, person who is quarantine their friends, family members can reach them through phone call, video call and get update of their health and see them virtually with the presence of technology. There many applications like whatsapp, telegram and many more, skype, duo calls etc for video calling, but the person who is affected more by this virus has been hospitalized in ICU, they don\'t have phone with them because of that the opposite person can\'t reach to them directly they have to wait for a phone call from doctor for knowing in which condition is the patient is, basically for an update. In this case, we are coming with a research i.e by using the technology, we can create an application in which the specific hospital doctors will update the status of the patient into the system with their unique id. On the other hand, family members of the specific patient can acess through it by entering the mentioned credential through which they can easily get an update of the patient.
